Ladies Sweepstakes Invitational

The Birchbank Ladies hosted their annual Sweepstakes Invitational on June 19th. A field of sixty-three ladies, representing 7 clubs from the West Kootenays and the Penticton Golf & Country Club, started the day with a continental breakfast at the Birchbank clubhouse, followed by a shotgun start at 9:30.
After 18 holes of play, Birchbank's Terry Van Horn claimed the Overall Low Gross trophy with an 82, which was 3 strokes better than runner-up Connie Kostash of Christina Lake.
Lauren Murray, Birchbank, won the Overall Low Net trophy with a net 70, beating out Kathy Tencza of Granite Point by retrogression.
Low gross winners in the four flights were: 
 Flight 1 - Michele Shankland, 88, Birchbank;
 Flight 2 - Sue Runions, 93, Castlegar; 
 Flight 3 - Jeri Santarossa, 95, Birchbank  
 Flight 4 - Sharon Orlando, 104, Birchbank.
